Beautiful Lake Home in South Eastern Ontario

Our house is a wonderful place to enjoy being on a lake. You will be staying in our home where we live with our cat when we do not have airbnb guests. When we have guests, we live in a tiny house in the backyard and are available if needed. There is no landline but cell phone service is good. Internet is sometimes slow. It is not a good fit for large groups who are noisy or families with very energetic children because we have close neighbours who enjoy peace and quiet.

40 minutes west of Kanata, ON in Lanark Highlands, 20 kms west of Almonte. The Gate House is a renovated 150 year old log building with 2 single beds, in floor heating, bathroom with shower & kitchenette with hot plate, toaster oven, coffee maker, small fridge & microwave, dining & sitting area. This rustic, handmade treehouse is built right over the rapids of the mighty Mississippi river in Lanark County, in the Canadian province of Ontario. The glamping treehouse is nestled among oaks and cedars, 22 feet off the ground at its highest point but still easily accessible with a walk-in entrance from the ground floor. There is also a 6 person hot tub available.
