The Woodland Escape

Step back in time. Experience living in a one room cabin heated by a wood stove and lit by candles and lanterns. Your bathroom is an outhouse. There is no running water or electricity. You can ski, snowshoe or hike on the 40 acre property. Also, within minutes of the cabin are numerous trail systems, lakes and beaches. Located on the Big Rideau Lake. Right on the water. Relax on the dock with your morning coffee. This Log Home will give you and your family an experience of a life time. You can relax outside by the fire pit, sing songs, roast marshmallows. The Log Home has everything you need for your stay! There is so much to do with you and your loved ones. Take a kayak ride from out dock feel energized or use Rideau Retreat as a Bridal Suite.

Very private, solar powered, gas cooking, outhouse, fishing, canoe/ kayaking, swimming, train tracks about 3/4 of mile away, so you might hear that lonesome whistle blow.Fire wood and propane are provided..there is no running water therefore no shower...and its suggested that you bring your your own bedding and pillows
