The Saddlery Cottage

Beautiful converted cottage in the grounds of an historic Victorian country house in rural Wales. Wood-burning stove, Wi-Fi, stunning views of the Black Mountains. Perfect for walkers, cyclists, garden-lovers, or horse-riders of all ages. Just 450 yards on a private drive through the estate from a barn which sleeps 8 (see 'Eco-Barn in the Brecon Beacons'). Ideal also for larger gatherings. Dogs welcome; a maximum of two permitted. The cottage is located on a 19th century country house estate of about 10 acres of gardens, lawns and woods. There are three bedrooms - a double ensuite on the ground floor, and two upstairs bedrooms (two doubles, one can be made up as twin beds) that share a large bathroom. A double-height kitchen and an open plan living/dining area with a banquette, a woodburning stove, two large comfy sofas and fabulous views. One side of the cottage looks onto a cobbled stable yard, and the other onto its own garden, then beyond that parkland, Llangorse Lake and the Black Mountains. Fabulous restaurants and farm shops are within a short drive as well as the lake, with boating facilities, beautiful walks out of your front door, and great biking trails. An all-around perfect location for a peaceful holiday in rural Wales. The cottage has its own entrance and parking, also its own garden with a table and chairs. Guests are welcome to explore the grounds of Treberfydd House, and are free to bring up to two pets. My husband and I and our family live a couple of minutes' walk from the Saddlery, and are available to help with any questions guests may have. Completely rural idyll - Perfect for those who want to escape the city and drink in the joys of the countryside. You would need a car to get around. Wellies are recommended, and good walking gear advisable for the hills. Booking is normally for a minimum of three nights. Between November and and March we offer a special rate for a Friday + Saturday booking with a late checkout of 4.30pm on Sunday. Please contact us for details. Just 10 miles from Brecon to the West and 7 miles from the famous book town Hay on Wye to the East. Situated in a very quiet back lane with parking in front of property for one car, ( additional parking available 200 meters down the road.) Cosy lounge with leather sofa and comfy chairs, log burner for cwtching on an evening. Modern kitchen. Downstairs toilet, dining room, garden with seating, two bedrooms, one double and two singles which can be made up to a double if you wish. Bathroom with toilet, bath and separate walk in power shower.

The Sheep Pen @ Nantygwreiddyn Barns

Reconnect with nature and enjoy the spectacular views from our hill farm in the Black Mountains. The historic stone barn has been sympathetically converted into two adjoining cottages. The Sheep Pen, a double bedroom with a double sofa bed downstairs and The Byre, with two double bedrooms. Fully self contained with kitchen areas, internet, smart TVs, handy USB sockets in all rooms and bedding and towels provided. Guests have access to our 60 acres of land where we keep rare breed sheep and deer.

The Talgarth Mill House

The Mill House is situated on Talgarth Town Square and is adjacent to Talgarth Mill, a water powered flour mill run by volunteers. Talgarth Mill houses an artisan bakery, a café & a craft shop. Talgarth achieved Gold in Wales in Bloom in 2021 and 2022 and a Gold in Britain in Bloom 2022. The pretty river Enig flows through the centre of town. Its situation is perfect for walking and cycling in the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons. Canoeing, sailing and horse-riding activities are nearby.

A delightful 2 bedroom cottage situated in the conservation area of Talgarth within the Brecon Beacons National Park. Comprising of a lounge, well equipped kitchen/diner, new shower room, double room and single room, with additional attic space for relaxing. This former shop premises has recently been lovingly renovated keeping much of its character and charm with plenty of vintage style. There is a secluded courtyard garden leading from the kitchen to enjoy breakfast or evening glass of wine.

Ideal for a break whether it’s mountain walking, cycling, visiting the local book, food, countryside living or jazz festivals, or some peace and quiet to reflect on life. Has all kitchen amenities needed plus towels&bedding. There is a shower room with toilet and basin. WiFi and flat-screen TV.

Little Donkey Cottage

A charming little four star cottage on the edge of the village of Talgarth nestled in the foothills of the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park. An ideal area for walking, cycling, canoeing and other outdoor pursuits. Self contained with private garden and suitable for two adults. Close to all local amenities - shops, pubs, eating places etc. - very well equipped with off road parking, free wifi and good mobile reception. Two nights minimum stay. Hot water provided.

Bumble Bee Cottage

Spacious one bedroom cottage, barn conversion. Called Bumble Bee cottage because of all the bumble bees in the flower garden and wild flowers. In a woodland setting one and a half miles from Llangorse and three miles from Talgarth. On a farm with sheep and horses, within the Brecon Beacons National Park and dark sky reserve. Underfloor heating, wood burning stove, king size bed and double bath with shower. It has a few steps inside and out. Well behaved dogs welcome upon request.
