We loved using the pool and the patio/grill area. The view and the landscaping are beautiful. The owner was helpful and responsive; she supplied firewood and charcoal. Plenty of dining space both indoors and out. Good A/C.

Lydia’s property is fantastic and is in the perfect location for anyone visiting a student at Liberty University. Lydia is extremely responsive, her home is spotless and she includes all amenities needed for your stay! I highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here again in the not so distant future!

Susan’s farm house was perfect for enjoying a relaxing getaway with plenty of space for multiple families and kids. All of the spices are very large and honestly it’s better in person than in the pictures. We would recommend it to anyone and return again! The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything you could need. And it was great being right on the winery.

Kandise has always provided us with a great place to stay and excellent experience.

Jamie's house was beautiful, very well stocked, and comfortable. It was the perfect spot for our girls' trip. Jamie and her team were SO quick to respond to any questions we had, and they did so in a kind and helpful manner. The house would be a wonderful place for a family trip, too - there were kids' utensils and plates in the kitchen, the pool has a tall locked gate, and the yard is great for running around. the sound machines in the bedrooms were also a nice touch! We enjoyed sitting outside on the back porch and taking in the beautiful, peaceful views. I'd recommend this Afton house to friends and would stay here again if I'm ever back in the area!

Karen was very pleasant & quick to respond. We rented her home for our son’s wedding. She gave great recommendations & took care of a problem right upon arrival. The home was beautiful, we had plenty of space for our family & loved being able to bring our dog. The master bath floor & tub wasn’t the cleanest, I don’t blame that at all on the host, I’m sure it can be hard with cleaners managing a property. And the steps going upstairs weren’t swept. I didn’t want to bother her again, as she had already taken care of a problem for us earlier, so we just went with it, it wasn’t unbearable. Beds were comfy. Towels were nice, washcloths may need a little updating, but overall, it was what we needed & served its purpose.

Excellent location for our activities. Visited the National D Day monument along with the Bedford visitor center. The DDay monument is highly recommended

Jeff was great at communication and flexibility for our trip. If you’re looking for a great host that makes you comfortable, stay here. The house itself was awesome. We had no major issues, which is rare for a rental of this size

Great place, responsive host. I asked about some random stuff for the kitchen (tongs, cooking oil, etc…) and he was able to provide. Place was comfortable and well laid out. Only thing is the entrance is in the car port, not the front door. But this is clearly stated in the welcome message. Overall would recommend.

Absolutely gorgeous place and fantastic hosts

Perfectly suited the needs for our small family. Cozy feel. Exactly what we wanted for our mountain getaway. Good instructions both through Airbnb and a binder. Outdoor and screened porch was great.

TDLR version: If you have a big group (more than 5) for a ski trip at Wintergreen, and are looking at places to stay, you better book this place fast because it won’t be there later. 100% worth it. No complaints at all. Longer review: This place had everything we expected and more. Big living room area for gatherings, pristine kitchen with huge counter and dining table. Appliances looked brand new as well. There’s a mudroom with a separate entrance to put all your board/ski gear in to keep the house clean. The back deck is very spacious, and the gazebo has a light under it for late nights outside. Internet worked great the whole stay as well. All in all, it felt like we were staying at resort lodging, while having a private host on speed dial. Gina was an amazing host, being very responsive, giving detailed yet not overly complicated instructions and rules for the house, and being understanding when problems arose. 12/10 would stay again.

I am not familiar with the area, and was surprised to find a listing for such a beautiful house for the noted price. Bluntly, I expected for something to be "off" with it until we arrived. The house is as beautiful as pictured, plus tidy and spotless. We didn't have much communication with the host but we didn't need to -- access was easy and everything was smooth. We also caught peak Virginia autumn, and saw the best of it in the surrounding nature. There's not too much in Clifton Forge, but there are groceries and a few simple places to eat, and Lexington is charming and just a quick 30min drive.

Very nice home, and great hosts. Would recommend staying here.

This house was so charming and spotless. We loved the decor and the upstairs shower was wonderful. It was very convenient to Liberty University, shopping and restaurants.

We had such a lovely time at the ‘small house’! Jennifer was quick to respond with any questions we had (about the property and the town)! We loved playing yard games and hanging out by the water. The kitchen was stocked with spices and all the things we needed to spend time together cooking. We plan to visit again in the Winter!

10/10 would recommend staying here! The property is private and absolutely beautiful! The home was beautifully constructed, seemed brand new and spotlessly clean! We loved the floor to ceiling windows. The hosts left small toiletries and water/snacks. We are looking forward to staying here again anytime we are in the area!

We had a great stay at the Critzer House. It was just as described and perfect for our two families of four. Plenty of room for all of us to hang out together or retreat to separate spaces for some quiet time. The sunroom was great for starting the day with coffee and finishing with adult beverages. The location was ideal...30 minutes or less to incredible hikes, breweries, wineries, and distilleries. Easy walk to Blue Mountain Brewery for dinner after a long day exploring the beautiful surrounding area.

Overall was a great location to anyone wanting to enjoy the outdoors since the National Forest was nearby with gorgeous views! Or even enjoy all that the resort area offered! House was clean and the host was always made sure to get back to us about any questions that may have come up. Our kids loved that there was a game area as well that they could watch tv or game without having to give up the TV for the adults to watch TV.

House was great and close to SVU which is where I was visiting my daughter. I had everything I needed for the week available. Quiet location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was roomy and comfortable. The host was very quick to answer questions and to accommodate our needs. We visited over Easter and made a big Easter meal for our son (who is in college in the area) and his friends. I was so pleasantly surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was with pots, pans, serving dishes, etc - best appointed kitchen of any Airbnb I have stayed in to date. The neighborhood is quiet, parking is convenient and the surrounding area is just beautiful. We found a different walking trail/park each morning to explore. I highly recommend a stay here!

Our stay was awesome! The self check in was flawless. The place, along with the view is simply breathtaking. During our time there, snow was on the ground, deer was on the property (and I mean a lot!) every day, what else could you want. We were there for a family gathering, and I can say that Bruce’s place totally served that purpose. We had more than enough space, the accommodations were great. We also enjoyed the fireplace, and roasting marshmallows and s’mores at the fire pit. Overall, it was nice just to get away from the everyday hustle for a while. So I can honestly say that I was completely satisfied, because during my stay there, It totally served that purpose.
