Houten huisjes in Vodo di Cadore

We just got back from 7 days here and it was great. The house was exactly as described, yes mostly original from 1956! (new kitchen appliances and bathroom!) but everything was in excellent condition and functional, quite comfortable for a family of 4 and dog. We did very much appricieate the detail and atmosphere of the place, all very cool. The living/dining space was perfect for hanging out and the deck provided great views of the surrounding mountains. A small perk that isn't evident from the posting is that despite it being in a neighborhood (the '56 Olympic Village) this house sits more or less "alone" on the corner so you don't have any direct neighbors which makes it feel a little more secluded in the woods. The location is a short car ride (<10 min) from San Vito di Cadore which is a great little mountain town with good restaurants and cafes. We truly had a wonderful time here. Thanks Duccio!

Die Unterkunft von Madleyn und Matthias ist der Wahnsinn. Ein perfekter Ort um sich eine Außzeit vom schnelllebigen Alltag zu gönnen. Die „heiße Badewanne“ draußen war ein totales Highlight für unseren 11 Monate alten Sohn, ebenso wie die verschmusten Kühe direkt am Gartenzaun. Die Gegend bietet viele Wandermöglichkeiten und Ausflugsziele. Man muss nur Zeit einplanen, wenn man mit dem Auto irgendwo hin möchte da die Fahrtzeiten dort recht lang sind wegen der kurvigen Straßen. Madleyn hatte uns im Vorfeld darüber informiert, dass es schneien könnte (Anfang September 🫣) und auch während des Aufenthalts waren die beiden sehr hilfsbereit. Wir können diese Unterkunft definitiv weiterempfehlen.

We had a wonderful stay in Borca di Cadore. Driving time to Cortina d’Ampezzo was 20 minutes! The location was absolutely stunning, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. The house itself was cozy, well-equipped, and beautifully maintained, making our stay very comfortable. The only small detail was that we had to ask the owner to increase the temperature in the house by one degree, but they were very responsive and accommodating, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic getaway!

Manuela war ein grandioser Host. Immer freundlich, erreichbar, unkompliziert und proaktiv. Das Haus hat eine traumhafte Lage und war äußerst sauber. Man hat sich sofort heimisch gefühlt und gemerkt, wie viel Arbeit und Liebe zum Detail in das Haus geflossen sind. Wir konnten sehr gut vom Alltagsstress abschalten; auch dank der Hot-Tub, welche wir intensiv genutzt haben und nun doch sehr vermissen ;-)

Ricardo War ein hervorragender Gastgeber. Der Empfang in seinem Restaurant war sehr schön. Wir blieben gleich noch zum Abendessen und waren die einzigen Gäste. Später ging es dann circa 1,5 km über einen Waldweg zu der Unterkunft. Es empfiehlt sich ein geländegängiges Fahrzeug. Die Unterkunft ist unbeschreiblich und die Bilder sprechen für sich. Wir haben die Ruhe und Einsamkeit sehr genossen und kommen definitiv wieder.

Amazing experience! The chalet is right on the mountain for a true ski in ski out. The view of the Dolomites is absolutely breathtaking! The home has been updated and it was a great place to stay. The host couldn’t have been nicer. He meet us at the ski lift and helped us with our things to the chalet. Very responsive and checked in on us during our stay. This is truly a rare find and such a special home. I would highly recommend staying here. I only hope to come back someday.

The place is absolutely gorgeous. The surroundings are breathtaking. We had the best night sleep of our trip here at this place. The shutters made it so dark in the room so we slept so deeply. It was just what we needed. Then, waking up to have your coffee with this most spectacular view is beyond amazing. A few notes for people who are going to stay here. The hills are steep to drive so make sure you have a good car. Also, the pool needs to be heated and it takes a while to do that so ask the host to turn it on early in the day if you are looking to go for an evening dip. They will be happy to do that but you must plan in advance. As far as the local food, we ate amazing pizza close by in walking distance. I cooked the other night and that was really fun because the kitchen is amazing. This place is amazing and we wish we were able to stay for a week or two.

La posizione è ottimale per chi cerca pace lontano dai rumori della città, il panorama ci ha fatto compagnia ogni mattina mentre facevamo colazione e ogni sera di ritorno dalle passeggiate fino a che non faceva buio. La casa è estremamente accogliente, c’è tutto il necessario per poter stare comodi e al caldo. La cucina e la zona divano/tavolo per mangiare è spaziosa e ci si muove bene anche in più persone, il bagno al piano terra è grande e fornito di tutto il necessario, mentre la zona notte al piano superiore è talmente accogliente che appena toccavamo il letto ci addormentavamo. La chicca di questo chalet è proprio ciò che trasmette appena si entra, questa sensazione familiare, ci si sente subito a casa. Inoltre Barbara è stata sempre molto disponibile e ha risposto prontamente alle nostre domande o richieste, suo marito alla nostra richiesta di altre lenzuola si è precipitato da noi per portarcele. In generale il servizio fornito secondo noi è stato impeccabile.

Francesco è stato un host gentilissimo! nonostante fossimo un gruppo numeroso è riuscito ad accomodare ogni nostra esigenza, assolutamente raccomandato :)

Großartiges Ferienhaus mit außergewöhnlich schöner Architektur, bei der Design gekonnt in das typische Flair einer Berghütte integriert wurde. Wir haben uns sofort zu Hause gefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr hochwertig ausgestattet, alles passt zusammen, von der individuellen Bettwäsche bis hin zum bei Bau verwendeten Altholz. Das Bad ist eine kleine Wellness Oase. In der Küche fehlt nix – es gibt sogar eine Siebträger Espressomaschine, die mit Illy Kaffee einen großartigen Espresso zubereitet. Der Dachboden eignet sich wunderbar für Kinder zum Schlafen und Spielen. Die Kinder gehen eine schmale Holztreppe hoch und haben ihr eigenes Reich. Oben sind überall Geländer! Lucia ist eine großartige Gastgeberin und hat uns bei kleinen Problemen immer sofort (!) geholfen. Wir konnten flexibel einchecken und im Haus warteten viele kulinarische Geschenke auf uns. Wir danken herzlich für den schönen Aufenthalt und wünschen Lucia alle Gute :-)

A truly beautiful location. Close to the lift and restaurants of piste 85 (Alpe Cermis), yet very quiet and private. The view of the valley is breathtaking, the terrace full of sun. And you can ski directly there on your skis. The communication is very friendly and attentive. Allessandro is very helpful. The house itself is clean, but slightly old-fashioned in terms of bathroom and kitchen (see photo's). We think this Chalet has an excellent price/quality balance and can highly recommend the Chalet. Tips for your stay: - Online you can buy tickets with a 10% discount. - The slope is for a novice to intermediate skier. Try the 75,88,76,84,74,87 (long + descend 1400 meters (!)). - A day trip to Latemar is definitely worth it (but much busier) - The ski rental near the chalet is much friendlier and cheaper than the one downstairs (+10% discount). - Try Tiramisu at Baita Tonda and fresh pizza at Eurotel Hotel. We would for sure recommend the Chalet!

Abbiamo passato un weekend a mezzano, sfortuna ha voluto che rimanessimo a piedi con la macchina e siamo stati costretti a tornare a casa con la macchina di amici e lasciare la nostra da un meccanico in zona, l’host si è reso molto disponibile a tenerci le valige per due giorni, finché non siamo ritornati per riprendere la macchina. Per quanto riguarda da casa, tutto come nella descrizione, casa molto bella e pulita. Ma ancora una volta ci tengo a ringraziare michele.

Gabriella e Giorgio sono davvero dei super Host! Ci hanno accolto nella loro baita e ci hanno fatto sentire subito a casa. Sono stati disponibilissimi e ci hanno aiutato anche con l’auto alla ripartenza. Sono davvero eccezionali. La baita voto 10+ rispecchiava alla perfezione quanto descritto nella scheda di presentazione, anzi meglio di quanto descritto. Abbiamo prenotato per 6 adulti + 1 bambino, era tutto perfetto. Pulizia 10+. Cordialità dei proprietari 10+. Ci hanno accolto con un bellissimo pensiero di benvenuto. Torneremo sicuramente per le prossime vacanze invernali… ma forse faremo qualche giorno in estate per visitare il bellissimo luogo in cui la baita si trova. Posizione comoda per raggiungere i principali punti di interesse. Complimenti davvero abbiamo iniziato il 2025 nel migliore dei modi. Super urige und völlig abgeschiedene Blockhütten aus vergangener Zeit, aber mit dem nötigen Luxus: Strom, fließend Wasser, warme Duschen,.. Tolle Mischung! Wer ungestört in der Natur ausspannen will, den Holzofen betreiben kann (wir waren im Oktober und es war schon etwas frisch) ist hier genau richtig. Kleine und größere Wanderung und Bergtouren können von der Hütte aus unternommen werden. Gleich nebenan gibt es ein interessantes Museumdorf mit geschichtlichen Erläuterungen. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und wir kommen wieder.

Se cercate un luogo speciale dove rigenerarvi, potete scegliere sicuramente questo splendido cottage interamente in legno e realizzato con materiali e soluzioni di prim'ordine. Nino e la sua consorte sono stati disponibilissimi ed estremamente attenti pur garantendo privacy e tranquillità. Bellissimi i dintorni con tantissime attrattive facilmente raggiungibili e mai troppo affollate anche nei periodi di alta stagione come quello che abbiamo scelto noi. Consigliatissimo

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti in questo chalet e ci siamo trovati molto bene. L’immobile era dotato di tutti i comfort in assoluto e completo di ogni cosa. La zona non è isolatissima, anzi! Vi sono abitazioni vicine, ma tutto sommato si è rivelato un ottimo posto da raggiungere senza percorrere tantissima strada dalla città. L’host è stata impeccabile nelle comunicazioni e tutto. Ammirevole la sua gentilezza, nonostante non l’abbia conosciuta di persona.

Bellissimo cottage in collina con la possibilità di portare i propri amici animali, confortevole, si sta davvero come a casa, non manca niente! Una delle più belle esperienze! Host gentilissimi e super disponibili, torneremo presto, grazie a Silvia, Manuel e ai genitori top!

The location of Cima 12 is superb! The house is surrounded by many hectares of nature, which offer a lot of quietness and privacy. The 360 view of the Dolomites is magnificent. Our host Thomas was friendly and responded quickly when we needed him. Changing the gas cylinder for example we could do easily ourselves with his clear explanation in English. Apart from the washing machine that we were told on the day we arrived temporarily couldn't be used (washing shop was a 15 minute drive by car so not a problem for us), the house comes equipped with everything you need for a nice vacation. We especially enjoyed the view from all the large windows and the balcony that faces directly Cima Dodici! All in all, as Thomas calls it, a shabby-chique styled spacious Italian Alps house in the middle of nature with lots of sunlight (and shade if you preferer) and all modern utilities suitable for two people or (large) families/groups. We enjoyed our stay Thomas!

Settimana magica a Pradileva, circondati di montagne e fiumi all'aqua cristallina e pura. Posto di pace e di riposo, Martina è stata fantastica, sempre pronta a facilitare ed aiutare, a raccontare le sue passione per la sua valle. Tramonti di sotto si trova a 5 minuti a piedi con locali di grande qualità. Grazie di tutto

Questa baita è proprio immersa nel bosco,silenziosa e circondata dal verde.Tuttavia non si è isolati.Noi abbiamo avuto la fortuna di avere il papà di Riccardo su una baita vicino che e’ stato molto disponibile con le nostre richieste.Nelle vicinanze Auronzo di Cadore,lì lago di Misurina,3 cime di Lavaredo.Tanti sentieri per chi ama camminare.Anche i nostri due cagnolini sono stati bene.Consigliatissimo anche solo per riposare e osservare la natura !

Abbiamo soggiornato solo tre notti, il luogo è molto tranquillo e rilassante. A piedi nei dintorni abbiamo fatto piacevoli passeggiate, e a meno di 30 minuti in auto, siamo saliti fin quasi a Cima D’Asta. Belle anche le Grotte a Castello Tesino (cittadina a 5 minuti in auto). La casa di Sabrina è pulita e confortevole, un’ottimo punto di appoggio per la zona. Ristorante molto buono, e nelle vicinanze se ne trovano anche altri.
