Chalets in Waikato River

Tania and Andy are amazing hosts, very friendly and helpful. The Moon Lodge is one of a kind, the details and all the little things were above and beyond. The outside tub is set in a beautiful sea of flowers and plants, soaking in the tub under the stars was truly magical. House was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked has stove/oven, large fridge, outdoor grill, everything you need to make your own meals easily. The bathroom was large and luxurious and stocked with lots of towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toilet paper etc. Bed was very comfortable with nice quality linens. The location and place were very comfortable, quiet, and relaxing. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay at this cozy cabin. The view was absolutely stunning, we felt on top of the world and we especially loved the glow worm grotto and a stroll by the duck pond. It was peaceful, unique, and such a memorable experience. The continental breakfast was a great touch and the friendly welcome was great! Also loved reading their farms family history…. Awesome stuff!! Would definitely recommend to others!

Die saubersten Fenster, die ich in ganz Neuseeland gesehen habe. Angus ist wirklich ein top Gastgeber und für seine Gäste präsent. Es gibt eine eigene Gloworm-Gotto auf dem Grundstück. Der Ausblick von der Terasse ist der absolute Wahnsinn-wunderschön. Falls ich nochmal nach Waitomo fahre, spare ich mir das Geld für die Glowormcaves, buche ein paar Nächte in diesem kleinen Haus und genieße abends die Glühwürmchen auf dem Grundstück.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux moment dans cette immense maison, idéale pour un séjour en famille . La vue est exceptionnelle, aussi bien depuis l’intérieur que l’extérieur, avec le lac en toile de fond et de nombreux oiseaux à observer. Le calme est total, c’est vraiment reposant. Tout est parfaitement fonctionnel : nous avons testé le jacuzzi, le wifi, la cheminée et le barbecue, tout était top. Annie est très gentille et attentionnée ; elle avait même préparé la cheminée pour que nous puissions en profiter dès notre arrivée. Nous recommandons ce lieu les yeux fermés à tous ceux qui cherchent un cadre paisible et confortable pour se ressourcer.

Easy flexible check-in, and beautiful view of lake Taupo. Loved all the windows letting all the natural light in.

Beautiful Destination, the host was so kind & welcoming. Lovely homes, set on the lake. Beautiful, clean rooms! we will definitely be coming back one day! Thanks to the incredible crew at the retreat!

Our stay in Rotorua was great! Nerida has a lovely home with easy access to the pool, restaurant and tennis courts. The views of the lake were stunning and we enjoyed staying here!

Love the retreat. The hosts were extremely kind & accomodating and the house was absolutely beautifully clean. It’s a bonus we could take our dogs, they loved the lake!

The Retreat was absolutely perfect for our stay in Taupo! Sparkling clean, super comfortable beds and stunning views of the lake from every window, sitting out on the balcony for breakfast was a delight. Annie was an amazing host, super friendly and helpful! Would love to stay again if we return to New Zealand 💙

Good clean property which is close to the city center - a short 5 mins drive. Having your own vehicle is recommended. The place is fully equipped and great for a group of 3-5 people.

We had a fabulous stay at The Retreat on our way through to Wellington. We really appreciated being able to have our small dog stay with us and the place was stunning. Beautiful views, gorgeous gardens and spotless inside. Last minute booking and no problems with checking in late via the lockbox. Annie was super friendly and the vibe was calm and peaceful. Can highly recommend!
