‘Round the Bend Farm - private, modern cabin

Our newly built, modern cabin offers a secluded and relaxing retreat in Union, Maine. With the high ceilings, open floor plan, and many windows, guests are surrounded by natural light and forest views. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy fireplace, and an outdoor grill and fire pit. Walking trails connect the cabin to our farm next door, where you can visit with our horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, and ducks. We are just 25 minutes from the Midcoast's shops, restaurants, and beaches.

Our space has a unique artsy zen feel. right in the heart of historic Thomaston, Maine. It’s steps from delightful restaurants, a spacious park. This 2 level apt. features a kitchen and living room downstairs, a bedroom and bathroom upstairs, and a cozy private deck. The entrance is located at the back of the house, accessible via a door code. Stairs lead up to the deck and door, and inside, you’ll find NARROW&STEEP stairs. Route one/MAIN St. is very busy- guests mention that it is quiet. .

You won't find mobs of tourists here but you will experience a working lobstering village in Maine. Sit back, relax and enjoy the quiet and privacy of 2+ acres at the end of a dirt road with a huge dock located on a tidal cove. Great for family reunions with lots of space and activities for folks of all ages. We focus on making the house comfortable and don't want you to worry about the little things like feet on the couch, water rings on the table or a broken glass. Life happens :-)

Formerly the Oakland Seashore Motel & Cabins, I recently purchased the property and have decided to rent a few of the cottages this summer and fall on a weekly basis. Surrounded by trees and farmland, it’s a simple, intentional place to slow down, sleep well, and enjoy Maine without crowds or noise. The cabin features a king bed on the main level, a cozy wood stove, and a wrap-around cedar deck for coffee, reading, and stargazing. Camden and Rockland are about 25 minutes away, and Belfast is about 30 minutes.
