We brought the whole fam (the two of us plus our fur babies) to stay at Carpenter’s Cabin, and we are so glad we did. The space was perfectly peaceful and teeming with so much wildlife. During our weekend stay, we saw beavers, trumpeter swans, a family of turtles sunbathing, and even got to hear the beautiful loon calls in the early morning. The sunsets and sunrises were especially beautiful to experience, and the place and property really feel like a serene private getaway. The cabin and game room were well maintained as well. You can tell how much love and thought they put into the place. Highly recommend checking out Tamarac Wildlife Refuge just minutes from the place as well where we saw even more wildlife including bald eagles in flight and building nests. Would definitely stay here again!

Wow what an incredible house! Easily the nicest and largest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. We spent Easter weekend here as a little holiday retreat for our kids and they had a blast! The house is huge but the property itself is massive!! Beautiful clean home, I will definitely book again!

1. Favorite: The beds were super comfy… u will get a great night sleep any of the 4 beds that are here… we all loved it. The beds were amazing.. High-lights: 2. Good time snowmobiling and ice fishing on the lake. 3. Relaxing in the hot tub at 10pm, 20° outside with many stars in the sky…

Garrett’s place was so cozy and cute! We loved relaxing there with our little family. The hot tub feels private without neighbors being able to see you. The beds are nice (primary bedroom bed is super plush, but you can take the mattress topper cover off if that doesn’t work for your back). We loved walking to the restaurant in the evenings and playing darts and enjoying their specials. You can see the lake from the cabin windows, and the sunset from the kitchen. There were a lot of hospitable details that we really appreciated.

House was clean and spotless. Comfortable for our group of girls. Would highly recommend!

I had a wonderful stay at this cabin while celebrating my 21st birthday with family. The photos don’t fully capture how scenic and beautiful the place is. The kitchen and living room were spacious, filled with natural light, and perfect for gathering. The entire house, including the bedrooms and bathrooms, was clean and well-maintained. The highlight was definitely the backyard and deck. The sunset over the lake was stunning, making for great photos. We even saw a couple of deers as well. Despite visiting in late March with temperatures in the 40s, the hot tub was a game-changer—clean, warm, and incredibly relaxing. The downstairs and under-deck area also provided a great space to unwind. The only minor inconvenience was a slight sulfur smell in the water, which disappeared after flushing. Additionally, the foosball table could use some attention as I believe the orientation of the players are backwards. Overall, I highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing getaway.

This was the perfect location for a girl's weekend! Lots of amenities (hot tub, sauna, etc.) and close to several surrounding towns and shopping, food, etc.

It really was what we were looking for. Had plenty of things for the kids to do, and for us all to relax and not have to go a bunch of places to have fun. Very comfortable all the way around. Plenty of space for our family. There was a slight problem with the hot tub, but the host was on it before we even contacted him. It was fixed very quickly and we had no issues after that. Definitely would recommend staying here. I know if we get the chance to get back up to that area, we would stay there again.

The cabin is cozy and very pretty. You can relax and have a good time. It has incredible views. I loved it!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this lakeside cabin. The cabin was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The lake was peaceful and serene, great for boating on the included pontoon boat or simply enjoying the natural beauty of the lake. Our kids loved exploring the shoreline and fishing off the dock. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a tranquil family vacation.

My husband and I spent a Wednesday thru Sunday long weekend at the cabin, and we would easily do it again! So many thoughtful touches and features by the owners make this a very enjoyable place to stay. I don't know how the AirBnB folks do it, because everyone's "triggers" are different for what makes it special and for us, it was a winner. The major things were an overall vibe that casual and comfortable and a host that communicated very well and addressed any needs. A small sampling of other things that created joy were a welcome basket of s'more fixings, tasteful decorations, an incredibly warm throw to cuddle on the couch with, dog dishes and TREATS (!) for our dogs, well stocked kitchen and bathroom, great chairs for sitting on deck, a wonderful beach/dock area for kids/dogs, ability to BBQ and have a great outdoor meal. Also, would highly recommend the Troll search. Very unique and fun! Visiting Walker MN and Itasca State Park with the fall colors was wonderful as well!

We had a great stay! Our original accommodations canceled the night before our trip up north, and she accepted our trip right away! She was very responsive, overall would stay again!!

We booked this home because of a wedding at a nearby venue. 7 of us enjoyed the living room with cozy blankets, the electric fireplace. The kitchen with was spacious fully stocked & great for the few meals we had there. A variety of spices & a plethora of pots/pans/cooking equipment was a bonus. the kitchen table had enough chairs and space for everyone- which we appreciated. Other places we have stayed at - didn’t have enough seating for us even though we under the max people allowed. Beds were clean and comfortable. Enough towels for all. I had a problem turning on the water - and the hosts responded very quickly to help resolve the issue. Very responsive & available to help. We would consider this home in the future for a longer stay- but it worked perfectly for our short stay & event.

Perfect two bedroom cabin on the lake! My husband slept 15 hours, the bed was THAT comfortable and after an 11 hr drive, he needed the rest. The host thought about every need guests would have and even when the area power went out briefly, she was proactive and kept us up to date. (It was an issue in the community not just the cabin.) The kitchen had everything we needed and the coffee bar was so cute! We wanna come back in the summer and take advantage of the kayaks on the lake and go swimming! We loved it was pet friendly for our two small dogs and they felt right at home. WiFi worked great and so did the tv. Next time I’m bringing binoculars. I was told there are swans on the lake. We heard honking but couldn’t get a close look. The lake view was beautiful and the water froze over in the 2 degree weather. Our family cannot wait to come back. You will get your steps in going up the hill to parking spot. 10/10 in our book! Will book again! ~Indiana family

Beautiful house on a lake with to great places next door to eat and drink. located on the atv trail. Has a nice deck on back of the house to relax and catch up with friends or family. plenty of spots in the house to spread out and enjoy some alone time.

My family and I truly enjoyed our trip to Scott's property. The house fit our big crew quite well. The beds were very comfortable. The kids loved the fun spaces in the house. The location was beautiful and peaceful. While there is a lot of vegetation along the lakeshore, there is a decent beach, and some shallow water that the smallest kids were able to enjoy. For the bigger kids, we brought the lily pad out to the middle of the lake, and they had a blast with that. The outdoor living space was great! Scott was friendly, helpful, responsive.

The cabin was even more beautiful than the pictures showed. It was super modern and cozy. The lake was so nice and calm. We're already talking about coming back!

We enjoyed a great weekend with a group of 6 friends. Jana’s place was roomy with different areas to gather. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. The cabin is close to Walker, Leech Lake and Itasca State Park. We had a great time and highly recommend staying with Jana!

Mike was amazing. we were planning on staying at another location that fell through last minute and his response was very prompt, he was very kind and attentive. The location was beautiful and the cabebeezo was perfect. I only wish we would have had more time to enjoy it. Will definitely be first on our list when we head back thay direction.

The place was beautiful as described. It was just the right amount of space for 8 adults. The location was secluded and quiet with lots of room for parking. Will definitely book again if we are back in the area.

This is such a beautiful setting and the home is so comfortable! Janett was such a cordial hostess and so flexible. We will DEFINITELY stay here again!!!
