The Lakeside River House

The cottage lies on the banks of Lake Rousseau. This is a very interesting lake. The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Come and enjoy the Nature Coast right from the backyard.

WATERFRONT! The Boat House is an 800sf private residence built directly over Lake Dora offering panoramic lakefront views. Located on Mount Dora's Famous Boat House Row, right in the heart of downtown Mount Dora, where you can roll out of bed and walk a few steps to one of the quaint coffee shops. The Boat House was once a tin boat shed with floors open to the water and housed two boats. Today, you will find warm, cozy furnishings, comfortable beds, a quiet location and sunsets every evening!

This lovely farm cottage can be found in a secluded meadowland under various oaks and pines along a natural cypress dome. Spectacular star lit night skies accompanied by hooting owls, whippoorwills, and fire flies make for an unforgettable camp fire atmosphere. All that and it's located only 10 minutes from The Villages where you can shop and have fun. Centrally located 1-1/2 hours from Disney, Daytona beach, and Tampa. Lockbox key access is available for check-ins at any time of day.

Fully stocked kitchen, smokeless grill, wine fridge upon request, k-cup/drip coffee machine. The lake has bass, we provide fishing poles/tackle box. Rentable Kayaks & Canoe. Dogs okay, sorry no cats, pet fee $50.

FL is in a drought, water levels are 8ft + lower than normal. You can still enjoy fishing and kayaking on our direct waterway. Watch the sunrise and sunset over the water on a private dock. This is a place you will want to come back to time and time again. We do provide kayaks and canoes to enjoy the lakes. Plenty of room for outdoor games and activities. Pet friendly. Just a short drive to downtown Inverness and 30 minutes to Crystal River. Simply perfect!
