A great getaway with loads to do close by for whatever mood you're in - great towns and cities like Calendar and Stirling less than half an hour away, equally beautiful countryside and multiple waterfalls, lochs and walks to choose from on the doorstep. Our toddler loved the on site swimming pool and the grown ups enjoyed the peaceful views from the hot tub too! Rosie was so friendly and accommodating.

Great place to stay for easy access for the Hidden Glen event. Very comfortable and the hot tub was most welcome post race!

Beautiful little cottage, garden and surroundings. After a stressful and long few months establishing a relocated business it was lovely to let go and do nothing in peace! The repurposed and upcycled features are gorgeous and the garden was perfect for our inquisitive and active dog to entertain himself without worry of him getting out. Sitting on the veranda with wine and the fire-pit going whilst watching the rain was just perfect (for me, a weird inclement weather lover!).

Fab place to stay in Loch Long. The scenery is beautiful and there’s plenty to keep you busy. The cottage was lovely and highly recommend

We had an excellent stay in Sue's well-appointed, comfortable and cosy accommodation. We loved the view from the dining table! Nothing is very far from anywhere on Arran and Pirnhill proved to be a good base. Sue was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended.

Stunning cottage with a real home from home feel. The cottage was very clean on arrival and check in was a breeze. The artwork inside was particularly special to look at. Hope to be back.

David’s place is in a lovely spot with great views over the Clyde and to Arran only a very short drive from the main coast road making getting around super easy. The place was spotless and everything had been thought of including leaving milk in the fridge and the fire ready made (which we didn’t light as the place is so warm and comfy). David was very friendly and messaged all the information we needed - overall would highly recommend.

We absolutely fell in love with the place. The cottage was warm, cosy, and had everything one needed. I travelled with my granny, daughter and my dog Bailey and we all settled down quickly, it was like being at home. But it wasn't only about the cottage and the lovely host; it was also about the location. The cottage is located just outside of Drymen, a lovely little village with very kind people. I do recommend it to anyone who's looking for a country getaway and who wants an unforgettable stay.

Our fifth visit to Hamilsmay. The children are now 15 and 12 and still beg to come back. It’s a super relaxing week that we all look forward to - we read, did jigsaws, played cards, walked miles, and spent a great deal of time starring out the window at the red squirrels, seals, birds right there. It’s just the perfect spot - so special to all of us. Eileen hosted us this time. We all love her - she knows everything about the area and we felt looked after. We’ll be back! Thank you!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au lodge. Le logement était petit mais suffisamment grand pour notre famille de 2 adultes et 3 enfants. Nous avons tous adoré l'environnement immédiat du lodge et du château. C'était un paradis pour les enfants...ils se sont éclatés avec les tyroliennes, dans la cabane perchée, dans la salle de jeux et ont adoré rendre visite aux belles vaches de la propriété. Notre fils s'est même baigné dans la rivière longeant le château... Amy était très sympathique et disponible. Thank you Amy!

We have family in the village but needed a place to sleep. The cottage was ideal. Comfortable beds. A well equipped kitchen. Outside seating if you’re fortunate with the weather. It’s a short wander along to the co-op if you need bits and pieces. Aberfoyle is stunning. Gorgeous walks all around you as well as opportunities to go and see some red squirrels. A lovely place to stay for a few days.

Pine Tree Cottage is a beautiful, traditional stone built cottage that has been sympathetically updated with excellent outdoor facilities. Situated in a beautiful part of the Trossachs, next to Loch Venachar - perfect to enjoy the many things to do in the area. We loved it. All the furniture is high quality- loads of equipment in the kitchen with really nice touches, (sandwich toaster, griddle, etc) and well supplied with cutlery & cooking gear. The bed was great with a firm mattress & lovely linen. The shower was excellent and the bathroom had a lovely antique bath, but what really makes the cottage special is the covered outside decking and summer house- so cosy and perfect to enjoy the fabulous views even with a spot of Scottish drizzle. Emma is a great host, friendly and communicated clearly, checking in with helpful advice. Thank you Emma for a fabulous stay. We will definitely return. It was a really memorable holiday x

Beautiful and peaceful location, easy to get to. Well equipped and spacious kitchen with room for everyone. Large comfy living room with real fire was nice and cosy Good sized bedrooms with comfortable beds Host Brenda was very friendly and welcoming and always responded quickly to any queries All in all a lovely place to stay and would have no hesitation in recommending and returning

This cottage is fantastic. Everything here has been thought of. If you were inclined you could literally prepare any main meal here. The location was perfect for us looking for a simple, peaceful base to explore Bute from. The host has placed in the cottage. plentiful maps, walks and references for things to do on the Island. Ettrick bay is a tranquil retreat with amazing scenery in every direction. It has good walks locally and an hourly bus back into Rothesay. If you wish you can walk the old Tram path back to Port Banantyne (about 90 mins). I have to say we were extremely fortunate with the weather (17-21 March) and it was wonderful at the end of the day to sit on the patio with a glass of wine staring out to sea and the Island of Arran. Simply Stunning.

We stayed at TwoStones for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean and as described. The location is perfect for day trips to both Loch Lomond and Argyll. The hosts were friendly and responsive. Parking at the cottage is a bit sporting because of the tight entrance directly to the highway.

Amazing place for 4 of us to come back to in the evenings to relax while in the arena on a work trip. A beautiful change from hotels

Gamekeeper’s Lodge is a well equipped property in an idyllic location. Lots of walks from the doorstep which was perfect for us and we would not hesitate to return here.
