Tubara is in the Higashiyama in Kyoto. You can go to so many sights (Kiyomizu temple, Kenninji temple, Yasaka shrine, Fushimiinaritaisha, Gion area, Kamo river, downtown..) on foot! Tsubara was 100y old Machiya, we lovely restored all possible to original style using antique fittings & materials by traditional craftsmanship. We love Tsubara, we hope the guests too! Outdoor bath & Suikinkutsu make amazing time for you.

Please experience or your friends and genuine good old Japanese life with your family. The house was built in 1892, and was completely restored under the supervision of Kyoto City Gov, and it was stand up for historical Gion principle. It is rented an entire house, and private!

Our house is in the residential area rather than crowded city that has a little distance from the station. Please see the area information if you wonder how to come. This house is only 20years old. My wife lived when she was in junior high school. We had a full renovation for guest house. This region is near schools, daycare compare to the busy and crowded area, it is quiet. There is an arcade that people get their needs.
