Excellent get away. I wanted a weekend to recover after a busy spring where I could feel relaxed. This is it. Literally no cell service (was able to get messages to the sitter via the excellent internet), there is a camp ground that is across the way, but when you’re in the backyard you feel like people no longer exsist. Quiet, tranquil and just what I needed. Brought food to cook in the well stocked kitchen. We didn’t leave because we didn’t need to. We will definitely be back.

Great location for ice fishing. Listing is accurate, spacious and clean. Will definitely book again and look forward to checking this home out for a summer trip. Host is very responsive, friendly and helpful!

Dewayne's home was not only great, so was he. We had made the reservation an hour or so before we got to the house and he was on top of everything. Very responsive, very kind, great host. Definitely would stay again!!

The lake house was exactly as described and looked just like the photos. Plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked. Lots of blankets and pillows. The lake was beautiful and the kayaks were really nice to have. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed for almost a week in late October to enjoy some hiking and the fall colors. The house was very clean and was very well stocked with towels, kitchenware, etc. Beautiful and well maintained house. Would absolute stay here again.

We loved our stay here! The house was very nice and clean. It was a great visit with fishing, bonfires, kayaking and cornhole! Coffee on the porch with a view of the lake was very enjoyable.

Charming place with everything you need labeled and at your fingertips. It was the perfect spot to getaway and unwind. Sarah and Kasey were excellent hosts.

The place was a perfect stay for our day of golf at Arcadia. Hosts were great and responded quickly with anything we need. Including checking on things we potentially left behind. They could not have been more spot on referring us to Grille 44 for drinks and dinner, walkable if you’re up for it. 10/10 would stay here again!

Stayed for a wedding in Traverse City. We felt right at home here. Comfortable, clean, beautiful views of the lake. Everything we wanted to do was within quick 10-15 min drive. Target, Walmart, and Sam’s Club very close by for groceries.

2nd time within a year coming here. The location is great and the home has nice amenities! Alex is responsive and easy to communicate with.

Beautiful, updated home, great outdoor setting and views of Big Platte. House was clean, and tidy. Nicely stocked. Host was very responsive and kind. The patio is large and has several seating options. The location is ideal and central to many other towns and beaches. Wish we could have stayed longer!

If you like rustic charm with modern amenities, this is your place! We recently spent a week at the chalet and absolutely loved it. The whole property is beautiful and well-maintained. The landscaping has clearly been a labor of love over the years. The grounds and especially the lakeside are stunning and Ron and Noreen did it all themselves. So much was in bloom -the colors were fantastic. As far as the chalet, they have thought of everything and we could have easily packed less....we will next time! Having a full kitchen was great, the place was spotless and the views of the lake very relaxing. We also really enjoyed sitting out on the deck, swimming and kayaking. The pictures online are exactly what the chalet looks like. We were very pleased. Thanks Ron & Noreen!

Our family of two adults and two teenagers enjoyed our week-long stay at the Loon Lodge. The property is deep in the woods, on the lakefront, and the boathouse patio offers a million-dollar view of Long Lake. The home is a classic "up-north" cabin with plenty of vintage charm. We spent most of our time enjoying the view from the boathouse and dock. We tied our oversized raft to the mooring and spent a few afternoons floating just off the pier. Our kids hunted for Petoskey and Charlevoix stones right off the dock. We saw Bald Eagles, falcons, and, of course, Loons. Tim was an excellent host who provided a personally curated guide to the area before check-in. When we had an issue with the kitchen faucet, Tim had a plumber on site the same day and was very responsive to my text messages. If you seek a charming vintage lake house with privacy, natural beauty, and outstanding lake views, I highly recommend the Loon Lodge for your next vacation.

We so enjoyed our family trip here! It felt like a tree house upstairs looking out to trees and the lake. It was a cozy family room area. We had a great time kayaking in big Sanford lake. It was so peaceful on the weekdays we were there. Sometimes we were the only kayakers. It was close to Traverse City and we checked out Frankfort and Crystal Mountain too. Overall would recommend!

Our stay was exactly what we needed. The property was beautiful and comfortable. There were many things to do on the lake and amenities to use. I had to drag my husband away since he didn't want to leave. Jennifer was an impeccable hostess and not only takes great care of the property but went above and beyond to make our stay carefree. I loved the information given on surround business and personal touches to make us feel welcomed. Thank you. Overall, it was a very wonderful stay! It was cozy & user friendly. It had all of the amenities that we needed during our stay for our ice fishing trip. Really appreciated that it was dog friendly too!
