Thelma’s Place is a completely renovated 2 story house, nestled in the beautiful Laurel Highlands, yet conveniently located right along Route 982. It’s just minutes from Arnold Palmer Airport and the city of Latrobe, as well as Westmoreland Fairgrounds. Pittsburgh is within an hour’s drive. Ohiopyle, Fallingwater, and Seven Springs (20 miles away), are other nearby attractions. We welcome long term stays, including guests looking to work remotely. It truly has a “home away from home” feel.

Moonstone Manor, a 1930’s historic two bedroom retreat was completely renovated by an interior designer to reflect the charm and spirit of the “city family’s” summer home. On a choice acre of woodland property at the base of Laurel Mountain, furnished in a bohemian, rustic style where color richness, well-worn pieces and indulging in comfort is paramount. This is a carriage house where you will feel very comfortable in the newly renovated home. It is secluded and peaceful with beautiful wooded views but a quick drive to grocery stores and restaurants. Walking up a set of steps will feel a little like a house in the sky. It overlooks the mountains. There is a beautiful deck to sit outside and enjoy that view and the peace and quiet. There is a fire pit located on the property to continue that cleansing of all stress and worries.

A labor of love, we built this home with hopes of someday retiring here to enjoy all the area has to offer. In the heart of the Laurel Highlands this home is close to golf courses, ski resorts, museums, theaters, restaurants, numerous State Parks with great hiking and biking, Idlewild and Soakzone, and Ligonier Camp and Conference Center.

Listen to the frogs sing in the springtime, pick raspberries and blackberries in July, peaches in August, and pears in September, watch birds from the porch swing, relax in the hammock, swap stories around the fire, and gaze up at a starry sky. Our farmhouse is on a quiet, beautiful corner of the Earth and we love being able to share it. It is private and bucolic, but a very short drive to amenities, adventure, and lots of gorgeous outdoor enjoyment.

Pap's Place

Pap’s Place is a single-wide mobile home that has been recently renovated. This property is named after the former owner, Warren Sterner, affectionately called “Pap” by his grandchildren. Warren was a railroad enthusiast. He could never work on the railroad due to the loss of an eye at a young age. This home has been decorated with prints of railroad and local scenes that Warren painted during his life.
