Dubbed the spiritual home of the Caribbeans in the UK, you know this area is back full of warm vibes and amazing food options. Brixton is a lively, multicultural area with a down-to-earth vibe. Brixton Market offers street food and vintage finds, plus clothes and produce that reflect the area’s Caribbean roots. Casual eateries serving global fare line pedestrian-friendly Brixton Village and the Electric Avenue street. Brixton is also a hit for late-night revellers hit with celebrated bars and live-music venues scattered around. Some of my faves are O2 Academy Brixton for rock gigs, and Hootananny for cutting-edge sounds, Blues Kitchen [mainly for the live music], Pop Brixton [affordable delicious food].

Very fun area to explore in the evening, lots of restaurants/bars which I recommend: POP Brixton: Venue with many small food outlets, bars, shops Brixton Village: Old indoor market with lots of local restaurants - I recommend almost all of them, it is closed on Tuesdays Mamalan: Chinese small plates in Brixton village Kricket: Indian small plates restaurant in Brixton village Booma: Indian small plates restaurant with beer pairing (2 mins walking from the flat) 384: Cocktail bar in Brixton

Pop Brixton is a temporary project that has turned disused land into a creative space for local, independent businesses. Come and discover South London’s most exciting start-ups working in food, retail, design and social enterprise. And it's a great night out!
