Although not as popular with visitors as some other Paris quartiers, the 13th Arrondissement nonetheless offers a handful of hidden charms, such as the thriving new arts and entertainment scene along the Seine. The good news is that many of these new destinations have been re-purposed from former industrial buildings, putting a fresh modern face on a neglected area. There's a nice contrast between tradition and modern here, from the Manufacture de Gobelins, the royal tapestry factory dating back to the 17th century, to the massive postmodern Mitterrand Library, completed in 1995, that dominates the banks of the Seine. The 13th Arrondissement, although not at the top of any traveler's must-see list, is worth investigation.

Few local tips: 🇻🇳🥢🥡 Pho Dau Bo 87 Av. d'Ivry, 75013 Paris My favourite Vietnamese restaurant in the area. The portion size are huge, it's generous and filling. House specials: Pho and different Bo (Bo Bun) 🇫🇷🍲🍴 L'Hommage 36 Av. de Choisy, 75013 Paris The only "Bistronomic" in the area. The whole team is young and creative. They have a tasting menu, it's great for a date night. 🇮🇹🍝☕🍺La félicita 5 Parv. Alan Turing, 75013 Paris One of the most trendy food court in Paris. Very cute and spacious place. They make wood oven pizzas, pastas, Coffee, (excellent) pastries and amazing handmade ice-cream during summer. 🍺 🍻 L'âge d'or 26 Rue du Dr Magnan, 75013 Paris Hip bar in the area with very nice terrace during summer. 🍸 🍺 Le Globe Cafe 104 Av. d'Italie, 75013 Paris One of the Cheapest bar in the area.
