This place definately overwhelmed a lot of the visitors as you will see quite a bit of homeless and drug addict folks walking around. But it is part of San Francisco. How this city embrace people of all walk of life, and where old days merchant seamen used to hang out at. There are also quite a lot of great eateries around, and it is right next to Union Square!

This neighborhood is the heart of the homeless population in SF. Careful walking arround alone at night, especially in eareas with poor lighting or few bystanders. Durring the day this place is okay to walk through, just don't take your wallet out and don't try to look too flashy here.

Parts of this neighborhood can be very seedy. If going to a restaurant or bar in this area you will want to Uber in and out and be cautious at all times
