Built on a backdrop of neutral stone and blond wood, this contemporary home shows its true colors in playful accents and a sun-splashed terrace. Walk 5 minutes to the pebbled shores of the nearest beach and 12 minutes to the local-favorite beach—and cafes and ice-cream spots—in Mlini.

Watch the sun move across the sea from a terrace with a heated infinity pool, a tempting row of loungers, an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue, and a dining table where you can sit down to dinner or linger over a glass of Croatian wine. Inside, the villa has a smart TV with cable and satellite service, Wi-Fi, and a games room where you can challenge friends and family over the pool and ping-pong tables.

A glass wall divides the terrace from the open-concept great room, flooding this vacation rental with sunlight. Gray sofas in the sitting area match the gray dining chairs and steel-toned cabinets in the fully equipped kitchen, and a few cerulean pieces match the hue of the sea outside.

The nearest is 5 minutes away, close enough for a pre-coffee swim in the mornings, but it’s well worth walking the 12 minutes to Mlini Beach, a cafe-lined stretch frequented by locals. Kupari Beach, a 5-minute drive away, has beautiful water backed by the intriguing ruins of a resort, and Banje Beach, 15 minutes by car, lies just outside Dubrovnik’s old town.
