Very nice place to stay. We were just unlucky to be there when it rained almost every day (April), so it was quite humid and relatively cold. But that is normal for Portugal and older buildings like this one. Location is great, 30 min to 1 hour drive either to beach, Aveiro, Coimbra, Porto, Fatima, ... Great spot to discover north Parth of Portugal. In summer it has to be great. So next time we will plan our visit a bit later in the year. Thank you for letting us be here.

Muy bien todo, solamente que el sofá-cáma tenía poco colchón y uno de nosotros durmió algo incómodo.

Sítio formidável perto da mata do Bussaco óptimo pra quem gosta de fazer umas caminhadas. Os anfitriões são simpáticos e acolhedores. A casa é absolutamente fantástica com um pátio exterior magnífico equipado com um óptimo churrasco e mesas .... é pena que esteve muito frio durante a nossa estadia e não podemos usufruir em pleno.

Peaceful place to pass few days with very beautiful surroundings. Completly private but at the same time less than 10 minutes walk from the town. Ideal place to escape from the city and enjoy the nature of Buçaco. The house was really clean and D. Maria was extremely friendly and available for anything. Amazing garden and swimming pool!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was spacious enough for three couples, with great views and a cozy, family-friendly vibe. Convenient corner stores and a bakery nearby made it even better. Francisco was attentive and gave excellent restaurant recommendations. We’d definitely love to return!

As a family of 5 traveling with little kids we felt right at home! Although the restaurants and market are 5 mins or 1-2 miles from the house it’s not a walkable area. When exiting the house be careful because of the traffic on the highway. Very clean home and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Kids enjoyed the back yard and basketball goal and video games in the living room. We enjoyed the country scenery. Was able to get an Uber and have the same driver each trip to the market and restaurants. Uber trip from the house to local markets and restaurants is €3. Would stay here again! Family friendly! Lots of space! Adequate heating in the home!

Mario's place is a beautifully renovated old house, with a green and peaceful back yard. The house and the kitchen are fully equipped and modern. The location is in a peaceful rural area, about 20min north of beautiful Coimbra. The pool and, although we did not use it for swimming, makes it a beautiful corner for just staring at, think, reading, you name it. Last but not least, Teresa (the neighbour) who is a co-host and Mario, are both very friendly, easy to communicate with and responsive to any question or ask.
