A lovely, cozy, peaceful house. Easy to walk into town for access to restaurants etc. Very comfortable and recommended.

I stayed at this wonderful property for a few days right after getting married, kicking off my honeymoon while also showing my new in-laws some of the best parts of the UK. The entire family had a great time here—it’s clean, very spacious, and truly felt like home. We did run into a minor issue with a bathroom leak (a bit of bad luck on my part, I suppose), but the host was incredibly responsive and did everything they could to resolve it quickly. I really appreciate how it was handled and am grateful for the prompt attention. Overall, I highly recommend this lovely property. If I’m ever in Edinburgh again with family or friends, I’d definitely check if this place is available before considering other options in the Old Town area. A big thank you to the superhosts for your kindness, patience, and excellent communication in making sure everything went smoothly during our stay. 🙏🙏♥️

Nous avons passés deux jours chez Jamie et nous sommes très satisfaits. Ma fille de 6 ans était très contente de trouver des jouets dans la chambre d’enfants. Il y a un bus à proximité de la maison pour visiter Edimbourg. La maison est super et il y a tout ce qu’il faut. Très propre et sympa ! Merci Jamie

Die Unterkunft von Leanne ist Super! Es ist eine ruhige und wirklich sehr sehr schöne Gegend. Die Unterkunft ist es allemal Wert um auch außerhalb von Edinburgh etwas zu unternehmen und die schöne Gegend zu genießen. Mit Leanne hat alles reibungslos funktioniert sodass wir zu keiner Zeit irgendwelche Schwierigkeiten hatte. Definitiv wieder! :))

We had a wonderful stay in Elie. Ann’s house is in a great location with lots of lovely touches. We particularly enjoyed the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom! Great garden for dogs and family alike, nice and secure.

Lovely property. Milk in the fridge when we arrived and fresh towels laid out with was a very thoughtful touch. Would stay again.

We, a family of five, enjoyed wonderful four nights in the lovely House on the Hill which was exactly as described. A great plus was the tennis court, that was very well received by our children. Walking the dog was a great experience. We used the farm cottage to explore Scottish Borders, Northumberland and of course Edinburgh. We would certainly come back and highly recommend this lovely place!

Perfect place to stay for a few days on a budget. About 10min walk from bus stops that led to the city, took about an hour to get into the city from here. Owners always got back with us quickly and were so kind. I reccommend staying here if you want more of a cozy stay away from the city!

A beautiful, warm and delightful holiday home. Few mins walk to the beach and on a lovely holiday park with great facilities for children and dogs. Amazingly stocked kitchen equipment and such comfy beds and bedding. Would highly recommend and look forward to coming back!

Karan was extremely responsive, great communication. Place was worth every penny compared to other hires in the park. Only issue we had was that the caravan had a horrible stench when we got there, most likely something the previous people cooked as the place didn’t have an extractor fan on the hob. We messaged Karan and he sent someone over to refill the air freshener but the odour over powered so took more than a day to die out. Other than that we had a lovely stay and would recommend this place to others.

Caravan very clean exactly as described. Easy to find at the top end of the park nice and quiet location. Lucy was very welcoming and checked that everything was ok.

The apartment was very comfortable and clean. Ceilidh left plenty of treats. I highly recommend this apartment as the location was great for access to the city and shopping. The bus stop was just across the street!

Beautiful cabin with a coffee shop and old railway walk right on your doorstep. Veronica was a fantastic host who was flexible with check-in and showed us around. The grounds are immaculate and great for a dog. No issue for us but worth noting there are some chickens kept on site should you have a reactive dog. Equally great for little ones’ entertainment. Cabin has everything you need and a communal microwave/hob along with a trolley for ease of moving bits from the car. Really it feels like you’re home and away from technology. No wifi (great 5G signal though) and no TV so just bring a tablet if needed. For light sleepers, you can hear trucks but wasn’t any issue for us. 100% recommend and we’ll certainly be back!

all was great - the apartment had a nice views and very sunny and light. the internet was reliable and fast for Netflix, the appliances were new including fridge freezer & washing machine, Also the heating system was new and reliable. all worked with no problem & you could easily park the car on the private spaces for the apartments. enjoyed beautiful walks along the huge beach, in beverage park and even to the near train station so could visit Edinburgh. all was amazing value and will book this apartment on next visit. most of all the hosts were very flexible and caring on checking in and out times to accommodate flight times. We had to cut our stay short due to an emergency with our dog, but Fiona was incredibly kind and understanding throughout. She stayed in touch with us, checked in to see how we were doing, and even refunded the night we couldn't stay. The house itself was beautiful, cozy, spotless, and very well-equipped, with thoughtful touches like snacks and essentials for guests. The garden and the view were lovely and peaceful. Her husband Stuart was also extremely friendly and helpful, giving us great advice and making us feel welcome. We truly appreciate their hospitality and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm and relaxing stay.

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad bij Michael. We zijn erg gastvrij ontvangen en hebben allerlei tips gekregen voor de omgeving. Het was erg gezellig om met zijn allen op de zolder te slapen en de keuken was goed uitgerust met zelfs een airfryer en onder andere kruiden, thee en olie. Toen we weggingen en muntgeld nodig hadden voor de parkeerautomaten was Michael zelfs zo vriendelijk om ons briefje te ruilen voor wisselgeld. Een ontzettende aanrader! Bedankt Michael!

La casa ideal. Todo limpio con chimenea y pequeños radiadores en habitaciones. La casa estaba fría cuando llegamos pero entre la chimenea y los radiadores en una hora más o menos ya teniamos la casa caliente. Zona muy tranquila, no hay nada cerca. Recomiendo llevar comida. Volveria sin duda!

What an incredible house in a beautiful neighborhood. The house is so well equipped and so clean. Lots of cereals, cookies, tea and coffee to make our stay even more perfect. The backyard was a bonus with the children. Great location too for public transportation, very easy to go anywhere. Ronnie was so responsive and so accommodating. Many thanks!

The location is perfect for exploring central Scotland – just a short drive to Edinburgh (with its stunning castle and Royal Mile), Stirling(home to the iconic Wallace Monument), and other historic gems. Whether you're interested in history, nature, or city life, everything feels conveniently close! The hosts were wonderful – so kind, welcoming, and full of great local tips. They made sure we had everything we needed and even helped us plan our day trips. The place itself was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped, making it a true home away from home. We couldn’t have asked for a better base to explore Scotland’s beauty. Highly recommend – we’d stay here again in a heartbeat!
