Stayed here for 2 nights for the bank holiday weekend. The area was beautiful, the Lodge itself was modern and very clean. It made for a perfect get away with the private Hot Tub and cosy fireplace over looking the scenic view. Lodge was very private and secure. They provided firewood and blankets for the nights we were there and hosted a small shop for immediate conveniences such as drinks and snacks. Their information booklet had detailed lists of local shops, restaurants and nearby walks which was amazing, it saved us a lot of effort in a new area trying to find things to explore. We didn't get chance to check out the farm they had with several animals but were lucky enough to have the farm house cats come visit us each morning which we loved!

We had a really lovely stay at Carol’s shepherd’s hut. It was cosy and in such an idyllic location where we were able to fully wind down and relax for our stay. The added touches made a difference and Carol was proactive in her communication which was lovely. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We had such a lovely time at the shepherds hut, a perfectly peaceful and quiet get away - just what we needed! Great location for picturesque walks. We walked along Offas Dyke took 2.5 hrs straight from the hut. The local town had everything you needed only a short drive or 20 min walk away. We grabbed a takeaway pizza from Daphnes which was very delicious. Despite wet weather all weekend it did not dampen our spirits. The covered kitchen was a perfect location to cosy up and watch the thunder and lightning. It had everything you needed to make breakfast. The provided bread, bacon, eggs & milk were a lovely addition. The bed was very very comfy and the hut was clean, tidy & cosy. The hill up to the hut is steep but the provided wheelbarrow helped. Leaving in the rain was hilarious.

The Cowboys hut was a beautifully made hut in an idyllic location. Danna left a lovely welcome hamper on arrival and the hut was clean and tidy. The log fire kept us toasty and we would love to visit again.

Perfect little shepherds hut, with everything we needed, we enjoyed our weekend stay. Megan is a lovely host and nothing was too much trouble, the farm pets were very friendly too. A lovely Pub down the road with tasty food and very welcoming which we can highly recommend.

Had an amazing stay in the hut on the hill, so peaceful and relaxing, loved seeing the animals and the hot tub was great. the shepherds hut was immaculate. Had everything we needed. Ideal if you want a peaceful few days away, at the hut you can relax listening to the local wildlife or if it’s cold listen to the crackle of the log fire inside the cabin. The location is perfect if you want quick access to hikes etc in the Brecon Beacons. There is also a cosy pub with a beer garden next to a canal, with great food, beer and board games available only a few minutes walk away. Also access to two towns near by with other food options such as chippy. In addition Fran was a welcoming host. Felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Thanks.

Wow...just WOW! This place is a little slice of heaven. Amazing location. So peaceful. The hut had everything you needed. Super comfy and cozy. Sian and Jack are just the best hosts. They gave us everything we needed to make out stay ideal. Friendly, welcoming and informative re all the bits and bobs in the local area. Make sure you do the Bryn Arw and Sugar Loaf circular and stop at the Crown for a well earned pint or too.

The perfect retreat for both of us and our pup. Beautiful scenery & lovely host. We loved using the wood burning stove to cook our meals & our english breaky tastes sooo much better!

Dominie’s place was wonderful and peaceful. I have really enjoyed my stay there, perfect location for exploring South Wales. The place it’s self was very cosy and had everything you might need. Check in was easy and directions to get to the place are easy to follow. There is no signal at the hut but it was not a problem for me, had a break from all the technology. I would highly recommend this place for peaceful stay to recharge your batteries , would love to come back again :)

We had a very relaxing couple of nights away, very private and secluded. Excellent hot-tub and very cosy hut which was exactly as described. We enjoyed our stay very much and would happily stay again.

If i end up in a place like this in 20 years, I would be a happy man. One of the most beautiful places i have been in my life. Run by two amazing , friendly , helpful humans. Thank you

Just the perfect peaceful getaway. Stayed for a night but wished we could stay all week. Garden is secure and looks out on to the most amazing views, the hot tub was a real treat. Hut was immaculate and just what we needed a for a rest

Absolutely loved this place ..David and his wife were so helpful Shepard’s Hut was spotless Gorgeous area set in farmland nearest pub 2 miles away serving fab food will definitely be returning We were surrounded by sheep horses & cows Hut gated off so dog could run in & freely

We have just returned from our minimoon after our wedding on Friday. Our stay exceeded our expectations! Bryn's communication was exceptional. He was flexible with our plans changing to include our fur baby, answered messages quickly and with accurate map Pins to make places easy to find. His recommendations were great, the nearby pub 'The Ravon' - delicious food, attentive staff and a cosy atmosphere. The nearby indian, wow the best we've had and the 'Bay Tree Cafe' what a gem! Bryn was friendly, approachable and went above and beyond to make our stay special with newly wed bunting, a bottle of bubbles and some homemade produce which was super tasty. Everything from the property itself, to the log burner, views and hot tub made our stay one we will never forget. It was a really special time as we enjoyed our new bubble as husband and wife! We will definitely return, Bryn has a special set-up here and his personable approach makes it. We will be regualars how. The Listers x

had a fantastic stay at the shepherds hut! The hut was very clean and cosy with everything provided. the surrounding views of the hills and mountains were outstanding! Beth as a host was amazing, she made sure we had everything we need and went extra doing things like lighting the hot tub so it was ready for our arrival. my gf and I are already talking about coming back, I couldn't recommend this place enough!

2nd time staying at this resort and does not disappoint. Booking to take the kids next time in the summer and then back next year again for our anniversary

Gorgeous couple of nights spent at Shepherd's rest celebrating our first wedding anniversary. The family were welcoming and had left us a bottle of fizz & bits for breakfast which was such a nice touch. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Enjoyed the peace, watching the lambs and listening to the birds! The sun shone but we hadnt brought any coal for the bbq then Kierans mum turned up with a bag (to our delight!) We walked from the cabin to the river through ancient woodland and spent many hours drinking prosecco in the tub. Just what the doctor ordered! Thank you Kieran and family. We were blown away by your generosity and kindness. Would love to return!

Stunning views and very peaceful! Had visits from a friendly robin and some curious lambs in the field next door. Hot tub took a while to get going in the evening, but was worth the wait. Gorgeous, scenic walks in the local area and we got very lucky to have completely clear skies for stargazing at night. Suzi was very friendly and helpful. Wish we stayed longer!
