We are part owners/co-founders of New Bohemia Brewing Co., aka NuBo. Opened in 2015, NuBo specializes in craft lagers like those found in Bohemia (Czech Republic), and produces a wide array of beer styles (IPAs, Hefeweizens, Stouts, etc.). Our partner, Dan Satterthwaite, has been brewing for more than 20 years, earning medals nationally statewide and locally for years. Located in the Pleasure Point neighborhood of Santa Cruz, NuBo is surrounded by many local businesses that have gained widespread notoriety, such as Verve Coffee, Pleasure Pizza and Penny Ice Creamery, as well as the HQ of O'Neill and the showroom of Santa Cruz Stakeboards. It is a short walk to Pleasure Point itself, a renowned surf spot, where you can walk along East Cliff Dr. and visit its beaches. Housed in a LEED Gold building and powered by solar energy, NuBo has an outdoor beer garden and serves outstanding BBQ dishes (pulled pork, brisket, sausages) and other beer-friendly food.
