The nearest shop to Pura Vida Ecolodge is the Minisuper y Licoreria El Guacimo (Coronado side of Costa Nera Highway) at the entrance to Coronado village (7-10 mins from our retreat). Best local store (locally known as The Pulperia or 'La Pul') in the area. Good range of local goods, fruit & veg, local beers & rums, cell top-ups and even gas canister refills +506 2786-5546. Normally open from 7am daily

Rancho Mirando

At the entry to Calle la Barca, directly across the highway. Family owned for over 30 years. Traditional breakfasts and full meals served from 7am to 3pm daily. The best homemade tortillas and coffee we know of. Wifi also available here. Great place to go, close to Rancho Mirando in case you don't feel like cooking.
