A great launch point to multiple (easy and challenging) hikes (including a long route to the top of Mt. Tam if you're feeling ambitious). If you're lucky enough to be here the morning after a rainfall, you may get to see the waterfall

Take Madrone Ave to access Dawn Falls trail. This is a great trail that loops and leads to a number of other Mt Tam trails with views. Bring your hiking shoes!

This is our neighborhood hike. The trailhead is at the end of Madrone Avenue. It’s a 10-15 minute walk out our front door or you can drive 5 minutes to the trailhead. The hike itself is in a magical redwood canyon. It is a great 2-3 mile out and back or you could continue up Mt. Tam and end up at the East Peak or at Stinson Beach!
