If you can’t sail you can rent a rowing boat or a punt and explore the Peter Pan themed lake. If you find the crocodile you’ve done well.

A wide range of dinghies, kayaks, large family rowing boats, canoes, punts and sailing boats are all available for hire. Many of these are the original boats from 1913, repaired over the winter and these boats lend the Meare an air of timess enjoyment.

Who doesn't love showing off how great they are at rowing...or not, as is often the case. This man-made lake is always good for a giggle and I've only ever seen one person fall in. The usual leisure boats are available for hire, and there are kayaks too for the more independently minded. About a 45 minute drive from Felixstowe.
