Take a picnic and drive down the scenic Ruatiti Road to the Manganui-O-Te Ao River which is home to a protected population of the rare New Zealand blue duck. Excellent swimming spot. Toilets available. No Pets.

Wonderful local reserve. Great for picnics, camping, swimming, and great for trout fishing. Out of the way and not known by the general public

Peace and quiet spot by a beautiful river. Lovely place for picnic and a swim in summer.
