The one in 'Pride and Prejudice' where Mr Darcy (played by Colin Firth) dived into the lake after riding from London. Fabulous stately home, high up with views of Manchester from the tops of the hills. Deer Park, tours, walks, toilets, shop and a cafe.

This has always been a family favourite location for a parkland walk. As well as miles of path to explore there is also has an adventure play for the children and numerous cafes. Pre-Covid there was a dressing up room which was fun, but not sure if that is open at the moment.

Whether you wish to visit the location of the BBC's adoptation of Jane Austins 'Pride and Prejudice or you just feel the need to indulge in the grand history of the estate stretching back to 1398. Just 14 kilometers from the front door!!
