loop even binnen en kijk rond, check ook het werk van de bekende chocolatier Dominique Persoone. Ik wandel altijd met mijn kinderen binnen als ik met hen op de Meir ben.

This beautiful palace is now a hotel, restaurant, and chocolate shop. They encourage people passing by to come in and see the murals and chandeliers. The chocolate shop features a bust of Napoleon carved out of chocolate. Smells as good as it looks

This is the Famous 'Meir'. It's basiclly the shopping street of Antwerp. All the famous brands are located here, and it's car free.

In the middle of Meir, on the corner with the Wapper, is a real palace. Once upon a time it was a "Royal House", a city hotel and a "court". Today, the majestic building is simply called "Palace on the Meir" and is managed by Herita. That was ever different. Did you know that the story of the palace contains all of Belgium's history? The Belgian royal house, but also Napoleon and Willem I were once the owner.
