Here sit many buses that can take you to Tripoli and Byblos and the northern area by the shore and not up the mountain. But it's primarily for locals wouldn't drop you in touristic areas, it would drop you off in the area itself, again better have your own driver there.

"Connect" bus gets you up to Tripoli from there!
