They offer hot and cold mezze – hummus, cacik and dolma for the latter, sucuk sausage, calamari and fire roasted king prawn for the former – to begin, but the main event is the charcoal grill. Saray have kebabs, but they couldn’t be further from the standard elephant leg: these are kofte, minced meat with herbs, or shish, skewered meat exposed to flames and cooked to perfection.
