One of the oldest Breweries is Salzburg, still operated to this day by the Augustiner Monastery. This location is frequented by tourists but is a staple of the local population. Grab a fresh beer, then some grilled pork with mustard and fish on the stick at the ground level outside beer-garden, as well as a great many authentic salads and side dishes like the German potato salad and fresh kraut salat, all located at the second floor gallery food vendors.

Austrian cuisine: By far the best beer in town. Brewed and ownd by monks. Huge beergarden. You can bring your own food.
