At the very end of Playa Cocalito (a 2.5 hour walk from Montezuma), a beautiful 30-foot waterfall drops into the ocean. There is a road that brings you close to this fall from Cobano towards Paquera. The entrance road is at Tango Mar Resort. Either way, walking or horseback riding along the beaches are blessings in themselves. Due to the long distance, you will be mostly alone. Once in a while, you will see boats in the ocean rushing towards Tortuga Island or people on horses on a tour to this waterfall. For those who love quietness and nature, it is a must to explore the area further with its lagoon and beaches. Give yourself a pleasant cool shower under this waterfall!

Another spectacular waterfall which drops directly into the ocean. Can be reached by a two hour walk (just keep walking after reching Playa Grande) or s 20 minute drive. Head direction Tambor and a bit before getting there you’ll see signs for the Tambor Mar Hotel. Drive down that little road and then follow the signs for the waterfall. Park your vehicle when the road ands, from there it’s a five minute walk along a small trail.
