Infamous McKenzie Child's shop, farm tour and definite point of interest for high end fun shopping! Check out the Barn sale!
Eclectic and unusual items for the home. This is the original factory where a lot of the nationally-known products are envisioned and hand-painted. Every year, they have a Barn Sale, too!
This is a beautiful shopping experience. The barn sale is just so much fun. It is on beautiful Cayuga Lake with the Aurora Inn and a ladies dress shop on the main street. The displays are beautiful at the store.
Stunning. MacKenzie-Childs was founded on romance. Originally a lovely couple began working with pottery, creating special designs. Over time the unique designs evolved into exquisite and collectible home decor, especially pottery, enamelware and unique furnishings. Every summer I attend their 50% sale. Although the waiting line seems endless, visiting with all who attend is special in itself. Tours of their stunning property, ponds, swans and rolling hills is so special. These designs are only found in the most specialized stores throughout the world.

On a Victorian farm overlooking Cayuga Lake, they produce world-renowned home furnishings. Also home to a small herd of Scottish Highland cattle, dozens of birds roosting in the Gothic-Revival-style Chicken Palace, a duck pond, a former Cornell horse barn, a 1930s greenhouse, spectacular and ever-changing gardens, and plenty of hay fields. Overlooking the grounds is the exquisitely restored Farmhouse, showcasing MacKenzie-Childs designs in a variety of traditional interiors. Daily guided tours take you through 15 rooms on three floors.
