Enjoy a stay of charm and heritage at a 1906 Brown County home. It was originally owned by the Helm's of Helmsburg, IN and has been completely renovated from the exterior walls inward during 2019. Helmsburg Station pays tribute to the history of its quaint location as the original direct route from Indianapolis to Brown County via the railroad line. From Helmsburg, the rest of the route to Nashville was by horse and wagon or by foot.
We offer a spacious and homey suite which includes a kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave, sink, toaster, coffeemaker with complimentary coffee, tea, cocoa, and water. Private bath with shower is supplied with soft fresh towels and some toiletries. Spacious living room/dining room offers Queen sleeper sofa and two small recliners, small dining table and chairs, and TV with Directv overlooking wooded backyard. The serene bedroom has a queen bed and closet for your personal belongings.
Located in Brown County just a over a mile north (or "A Stone's Throw") of the quaint Village of Nashville, IN. Your home away from home is in a quiet rural neighborhood where you are just minutes from shopping, restaurants, art galleries, music venues and all kinds of outdoor activities. The owner lives full time in the upper level with her service dog Jessie but you will probably never see her unless they are out in the yard playing fetch or working in the garden.
