Casa do Rio Alva is a very special place with private access to the river! Our country house is located in the village of Secarias in the heart of the nature of central Portugal, 4 km from the village of Arganil and 55 km from the city of Coimbra. Exploring the Alva River from our home is a unique experience, where the following stand out: avocets, bees, kingfishers, crows, swallows, foxes, field mice, frogs, toads and snakes, numerous fish such as bass, bogas and carp, but also trout and eels.

It's a 10min walk through the village to the river with beaches and a café whilst charming Coja town is a 5min drive and includes several restaurants, cafes, bakeries, bank. A multitude of historic sights and outdoor activities are catered for in the surrounding area.

We hebben een moderne ruimte gecreëerd met zoveel mogelijk comfort, maar met behoud van het eigenzinnige karakter van het huis. Maak zeker gebruik van de houtgestookte hot tub en geniet een paar uur lang van een heerlijk bad, onder het genot van een goed glas wijn. Our child friendly rural retreat has plenty of room to roam, relax and play! Just a few minutes from Tabua town you can access shops, restaurants and facilities with ease. Well behaved pets are welcomed!

The house includes an open kitchen and living room, a 11 m2 mezanine for sleeping, an outside shower, compost toilet in a 5000 m2 forest garden with granit boulders, natural structures, sculptures and chillout places.

The property was originally listed as an agricultural building and converted into a guest annex. It has now been beautifully renovated to provide spacious 1-bedroom self-catering accommodation.
